They are VERY small towels though..... I like my big fluffy towel so I was glad that I packed it last trip and will bring it again this one.

Compared to a regular sized beach towel...they are small!!! My only issue with DCL is that they should have bigger pool towels. I hate to say it but Carnival has beautiful, large, soft towels for use by the pools....much better than what DCL has.

You can also find DCL pool towels in large teak cabinets all along Deck 9 and 10. Take two per person...you will need them.

just making sure I "get" it. LOL Have read so much about people trying to "save" pool spots and not using them for much of the day.

Keep in mind that DCL also lays towels out on chairs early in the morning....just as a courtesy....so if you see a chair with just a DCL towel on it...grab it...if it does not have anyone's personal items on it than I feel it is up for grabs!!!

If you need a pool towel and you don't see any, they are in the cabinets located near the pools. Just open them up and take one.

Aha, so leaving an item on a chair designates it as a shared item!!! Now my experience a while back on Castaway Cay makes sense.
We had left our sunscreen (among other items) on our chairs on the beach. When we returned from the water a little while later, the sunscreen was gone! Everything else was still there.
Figuring someone close by had "borrowed" it, I said very loudly to hubby so all within earshot could hear: "Well, jeez, if someone needed sunscreen that badly, I would have been happy to share if they had just asked...they didn't have to be rude and take it!"
In a little while, we went back in the water, and when we returned again, the errant sunscreen had returned! Perhaps I misjudge whoever had taken it...I thought it was stolen, but they were just borrowing, having taken me up on my kind invitation by leaving out.

I do agree that the towels DCL uses by the pool and at Castaway Cay are kind of skimpy, but at least there are always plenty to go around.
