So I've heard rave reviews about the Turkey legs...and I have a question. Can you only get them in the MK? Or do they have them at Epcot or AK or MGM?

They have them at each park.

Epcot - in front of the American pavillion
MGM - Toluca Turkey Legs - near ToT entrance
AK - forgot where.

Mmmm....turkey legs....

I know they have them in MK, Epcot (At the American Adverture I beleive) and in MGM (near RnR and ToT). I would think they should have them in AK but I haven't seen or had them there. :confused3 Anybody?

Thanks for the quick replies!!!

I just know DH2B and I are going to love these!

Just a warning -- you might want to buy 1 for a taste test even if everybody in your party is interested. We were really bummed that we got three of them -- each of us took a bite and gagged.

I had such high hopes, but 3 turkey legs went right in the dumpster. Big waste of money. If we'd only gotten one, we'd have saved a lot!

I realize we're in the minority, but they're not cheap.

Thanks for the tip...we were only going to buy one and share it anyway. When we're out and about like that, neither of us can manage to eat much at one sitting...especially in the hottest part of the day. But I have to eat something with my medication. So, we'll probably get one of these as a lunch at least once while we're there!

My DH HATED his when he had one but he did get it at Epcot. He was so disappointed b/c he thought they looked so good--and so much fun to eat. Oh well. To each his own!

I don't like them either. They look & smell so good. But I was expecting regular Turkey not smoked turkey. What a disappointment.

LOL...that was our reaction too. We had read so much about them, walked up, bought two of those big puppies....one bite....and in the trash. They are nasty suckers aren't they?? I mean...whatever they inject in those birdy legs is the most artificial tasting stuff...really salty and then big huge tendons....it was so foul. Now we chuckle every time we walk past one of those stands. Definitely buy one and taste it before buying a bunch!

I like them but they taste more like ham! In all my trips to WDW I could never eat a whole one!!

they are ok,kind of greasy, get one and rip hunks off ( caveman like)to try before you get a bunch. i like turkey and smoked meat but these were not that great imo, maybe cause it was at epcot where there is so much better stuff.

I have to agree they were not that great! Very greasy and fatty. My dh doesn't like dark meat anyway but he couldn't even watch me try it. It was pretty gross! I have had them better at like street carnivals that were really smoked on a grill. :confused3

Put this thread on right track, you do know those are Emu legs not Turkey. :rolleyes1

Not a big fan of the Turkey Legs, I must say. They are smoked so they really taste like ham and look like ham. Give me Mickey Bar and/or a Dole Float anytime over the legs.

Just a side note...I noticed that the Turkey Legs are cheaper in Animal Kingdom than the other parks. Coincidence, I think not. Look for missing Emu's coupled with low transportation cost and it becomes cheaper.

:confused3 :rolleyes1  :mickeybar :rolleyes2

Turkey/Emu legs are a must eat for my kids every trip!! I find them rather gross. My dad calls them tendon legs.. but man, my kids tear those things up!!

And my DD has a fear of ostriches and emus.. if that is really what they are... emu legs.. she would DIEEEE :earseek:

Anyone know how much those legs run up in cost... and if they're covered as a "snack" on the dining plan?

Love the EMU/turkey legs hopin they count as a snack on the free dining
