We never use anything as I dont want to be being lulled into not taking note of where we're parked - you really need to know your row at the parks as your car might find itself behind a truck from Texas.
When we go down the long line of similar cars DH just uses the remote and we look for the flashing lights.
Snap my DH does that. failing that wait till everyone else has collected their car then in theory yours should be the only one left.
