So we have the Fantasmic dinner package through Blue Bayou. Our dinner is at 4:30 and I believe Fantasmic is at 7:30 that night. We'll likely be done with dinner around 5:30 so do we have time to visit some attractions or do we need to go get in line somewhere?

Based on the reports so far, you should have plenty of time to do some attractions after dinner. Blue Bayou takes about an hour, depending on how fast you eat and how many courses. They start letting guests into the F! viewing areas about an hour before the show (so at 6:30 pm for guests with the FPs), but the dining package guests enter last and it seems like the area is large enough that you don't have to be first in line (unless you want to sit somewhere very specific - like the railing).

It's probably worth skim reading the latest posts in this tread:

Our return time was 30 minutes before show time. They won't let you in earlier and there is no reason to show up earlier.

Was there plenty of room in the Blue Bayou area and can you see fine from all places in there (sitting on the ground right?)... Trying to judge it vs. WoC where even in the Carthay Circle area you have to get there super early to get a rail spot....

All the spots are good. When we did WOC we didn't have to get there all that early for a good WOC spot for the Carthay Circle area - that probably depends on night. We went on a Monday. For F! it was a Sunday night. We arrived right around 30 minutes before, were a few people back from the very front, but could see totally fine because we were all sitting. There really is not a bad spot in the BB section. Other sections (just the FP ones, not dining) you would want to be there the minute they open.

Do they still have chairs? I am seeing cushions and if that means sitting on the ground I am doomed!

No more chairs now. The seating is just that - seating on the ground.
I am unsure how they accommodate accessible needs however.

My understanding is that they have the wheelchairs and EVCs park behind the folks sitting on the ground, probably towards the back of the dining package sections.

If I pay for the BB dinner can I stand in the back. I use a cane so no ecv or wheelchair.... but I could never sit on the ground.

We had 4:00 ressies on 12/29/15. I thought the timing was just PERFECT!!! At first I was a little worried we would be done too early, but it just all worked out nicely. I was worried about the line up time also but they WOULD NOT let anyone even huddle in the area early, and there was NO NEED TO!!! All of the spots are wonderful, the night we went there was plenty of room available and I think you could have gotten there 5 minutes before it started and been perfect. I think they are really trying to get away from the "3 hours" before line ups -- and if they can do it, it works nice for all of us......

PS.....we loved our dinner, 1st time and I was a little worried.

I'm really happy about all the responses since we just booked the package for us at the end of January. We always eat at blue bayou anyway so this is just a great perk. Really looking forward to this since I've only watched from afar.

Thank you all for the info!

Is there ever a danger of showing up last minute to the viewing area and not getting a seated spot in the BB area? Are there still spots in this section that you MUST be standing?

Me too! We had originally made reservations for BB but not F! ressies. I called and cancelled the original ones and made them the F! ones instead. Super excited! I've seen the show a few times but it's definitely one of my favorites and it's going to be that much better with a guaranteed great seat! :cheer2:

Has anyone done the Aladin's Oasis package? Was it worth it? What section do you sit in for Fantasmic?

When we went we showed up 5 minutes before the show and the reserved sections were only 1/2 full with loads of good spots.

Anybody know how it works with strollers? For parades, we usually keep my toddler in the stroller to keep the wiggliness down. That's, of course, if we feel like paying extra for the dining package and if my kid won't be terrified of the show...

I do not believe strollers are allowed in any of the F! viewing areas anymore. And they were never allowed to be open/standing up, even before FP. They had to be folded and laid flat.

As for the show with a toddler, we saw it when my youngest was 18 months. She slept through the whole thing the first time and stayed awake for half of it the 2nd time. Didn't scare her. Though as she got older we did find out she's a total daredevil!
