Silly question: anyone cry at Shamu? (Seaworld)

Ok. My husband and children went to SW with another family thinking "oh this is just another show" but low and behold, we were blown away!
The relationship between the animals and trainers were amazing. Not to mention the screen show and music.
Husband and I were sheepishy (bahh) wiping tears from our eyes. A lovely and well done show.
We even got into the "Shamu" chant!!!

I will admit it. I'm a big baby. I saw the show, and tears were streaming. I get a little sentimental about stuff like that.
I hate how they take the education part out of it, but I love the new show aspect of it.

I'm so glad to hear that! We are visiting SW too on our trip and I was hoping the new show was good. I've heard very mixed reviews of it. I also get all emotional when a show is awsome. In 2005 during MNSSHP I got all teary eyed during the fireworks show. I'm such a dork!

ihaven't been in awhile, i live in Ohio and used to have a Sea World 20 minutes from my home, so we would go at least once a summer, but i cried everytime, just at the magnificence of the killer whale and dolphins i also cry every disney trip {not from sorrow]!

After 8 days in Orlando, the Shamu show is still in our minds. How they heck do they do that and even suck in the non-sentimental ones?

Yes! DFiance and I got engaged in Shamu's stadium on Valentine's Day a few years ago. So everytime we go to SW I make a trip to see the show since it has special memories for us. I have not been since the new show started, still sad they ripped down the old screens, etc. Our engagement was up on those very screens...=o( Right before the evening show. Too cool. Funny thing is I also planned a surprise for DFiance that night at the Hockey game for his birthday to have it on the big screen there, I tried to rush him out of the show to get there in time...lol.
