Someday my dream is to stay at the Poly, or really any monorail resort. My DH will not spend rack rate for a room we will spend little time in. I guess I am just looking for the cheapest a monorail resort has been with a discounts obviously. Thanks!!:goodvibes

That would be the Cont in garden wing. In May 05 I had a north garden wing room for $222 a night.

CR starts the lowest depending on view etc. Now, if you just want to be near the MK then WL is the least $$$ and a FABULOUS resort....you just take a boat to MK instead!

If you can swing a trip during value season, the rates will be at their lowest plus normally some sort of discount is released during value season. If your budget allows, I think you'd really enjoy a Poly garden/standard view room. The rooms are nice and large and most of the garden/standard rooms offer a pretty good view for being considered standard. The TTC is right next to the Poly so you have direct monorail access to both MK and Epcot. You can see the Castle from the pool too! It's pretty cool. In any event, as I said above, try to plan a trip during value season and watch these Dis boards for up-to-date info on discounts.

Check your resort you are staying at for any bounceback offers...they can offer a huge discount off the deluxe properties..20-30% off....BUT it must be booked before you check out..you can always change your dates but the deposit of $200.00 must be put down before you check out. ;)

No matter the season I believe the Garden Wing rooms at the Contemporary are the least expensive rooms and from there they go up.

We had a 40% off bounceback when we stayed at the Poly in May. Keep an eye out on your next trip!

I agree....the WL is an AWESOME resort :dance3:. It's not on the monorail, but it is just a boat ride away from MK for a much cheaper price than the CR, Poly or GF ;). Plus it's still a deluxe resort without the deluxe price tag :cutie:. But if the monorail is a MUST.....the CR garden wing will be your cheapest :goodvibes.

Yeah, I think the cheapest you'll ever see anything is 40% off - I got a 40% pin code once, you hear people mentioning that number frequently, but I've never heard more than that. So at this year's rates, a CR garden wing with a 40% coder would be $162. That would be my prediction for the lowest price you could get at a monorail resort.

I got an Annual Passholder rate of $244 for the Poly for August, which is great. The first time I took my entire family to Disney in 2003, I booked Poly at rack rate and my husband was horrified. After one day of the convenience of the monorail with two kids, he was sold. It's his favorite place to stay. You pay for the location - and it's worth it for at least one trip to the MK.
