silly question about a Mix Stick...

how do you properly turn the thing off??? when i press and hold the play/pause button the flashing green light stops flashing and the song turns off but the green light still stays lit. does that mean it is off and fully charged? i know that the orange-red light means it needs a charge. this is a new one that my DD received from Santa. i remember her old one, and i thought the light turned off completely when shut down. ugh. i really can't remember. thanks for the help!

I have an old Mix Stick (was my first mp3 player). If they are still made the same way, there is a button on the side to slide up/down to turn on/off. Mine is several years old, though, and they may have been redesigned.
