Silly Magicband Question

We are leaving for WDW tomorrow and are staying off site. I still have our magic band from last year. Will the new tickets be automatically added to them (the are still active on my account) or do I have to stand in the will call line and get physical cards?

Any active MagicBand that's linked to your profile will have access to any tickets that are also linked to the same MDE profile.

Nothing is actually added to your Magic Band. It is just way you access your MDE account. As long as you have linked your new Magic Bands to your MDE account, those bands will be able to access everything in your MDE account just like any other bands that are linked to your account.

No they aren't automatically added, you have to enter the passes to the MDE yourself. If you do, they will be linked to your existing MagicBands unless you disabled them in MDE. The only way it may happen automatically is if you stay at an official Disney resort.

The OP does not have new MBs.
The question is about new TICKETS being able to be accessed by old MBs.

Your answer is basically correct, but in this case, it is sort of "the oppose"
of what is being asked.

And, yes, the old MBs will be able access the new tickets.

Guests not staying at a WDW resort, but who buy new tickets via their MDE account

Was assuming based on the OPs original post that he hadn't bought them via MDE. If you are buying them via MDE you are using MDE to add them to your account.

No they aren't automatically added... The only way it happens automatically is if you stay at an official Disney resort.

Also, if tickets are NOT bought via MDE, just the fact that a guest is staying on-site
does not automatically mean that the stand-alone tickets will appear in the MDE account.

Its not a huge distinction, but it helps those reading the thread to not get the wrong impression.

1. When do we pick our colors

2. How to we link them to our tickets that are on my MDE account

ETA any way we can change the shipping so I can link the magic bands before we leave for Orlando

1 any time but at 30 days is when they start to make your MB ( get the color you want put your name on it) and then shop it to you

2 I think Disney will do this for you.

It's for a on site stay so how do we customize it I know it sounds childish but I am looking forward to a purple band

I was able to customize dhs and mine with out a problem but for some reason it won't let me customize my parents even though they are on my MDE

Nothing is on a magic band.
If your magic band is active and linked to MDE and your ticket is linked to MDE then you can use the magic band to gain entry into the parks.
