For the first time, I'll be making Easter dinner and celebrating here at the lake!! :goodvibes In years past I have usually arrived here just after Easter, so this is really a big deal for me..

Right now I'm coloring eggs - and I already have my DGD's basket from the Easter Bunny hidden.. The Easter Bunny was running behind (it's a long trip down from the mountain to the more populated areas) so he dropped it off while I was outside raking leaves and asked me if I would mind hiding it for him.. ;)

DD, (riding all the way in the SUV on her donut ring and meds - LOL), her DH & my DGD will be arriving late tomorrow morning.. Son-in-law and I will actually be doing a lot of work outside tomorrow so they can bring their travel trailer up next weekend, but we're planning on having a late dinner because DGD is on Spring Break next week and won't have to get to bed early tomorrow night..

Last year I made it till the day before Halloween.. Next year I have a really lofty goal - that will depend entirely on the weather.. I would LOVE to have Thanksgiving dinner here! And my ultimate dream? Just ONE Christmas here..

Silly, I know - but I really am excited!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

When I read the title I thought you were calling for me. :confused3 :rotfl:

Have a Happy Easter! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great fun time... have a great Easter!!

C. Ann. I feel your excitement. Coming from a large family it was usually anyone but me doing the dinners. I remember the 1st one I did and it was the best feeling in the world. I agree with you that Thanksgiving is on the top of the list but you are right that Christmas is the very best. I hope you have the most wonderful Holiday.

Sure as long as you're not making what MsDisney suggests :lmao: 5 lbs of pot

That sounds just wonderful. I am excited to have an Easter with no house guests, just my little family. Except my oldest who is off at college and had his spring break last month. But that is ok. He was always a little bit grumpy about having to watch the little ones hunt for eggs. His Easter basket arrived for him yesterday, and the Easter Bunny included what he wants most (money) so I am sure he is happy.

Have fun!

Well nothing quite that exciting here - LOL - buy how about baked ham with pineapple slices and cherries on top; mashed potatoes; peas; cranberry sauce; deviled eggs; cottage cheese with pineapple; and hot biscuits.. :)

If you're interested, come on over (or would that be "up?).. :teeth:

I still haven't figured out what to do on Easter day. I guess that it's getting a little late to worry about it now. ;)

C.Ann, your plans sound great!
