Silliest Mid life crisis ?

My DH bought a red sports car as his Mid life crisis, so I have no room to talk....but......

My 55 year old widowed neighbor, just retired from a state job , now has a midddle aged( peroxide haired )tatooed live -in girl friend.....and he is now wearing an earring!

My husbands mid life crisis involves a kitchen renovation...he is building his dream kitchen....I haven't had a kitchen for almost 3 months.

I don't know what you call this. But I'm going through some small changes....

I never cared for stuffed animals. Now I find myself buying all these stuffed toys I don't need. Jimminy Cricket, Tigger, beanie babies, etc... (I am childless!)

Then there's the jewelry. Never cared for it. Now I'm buying diamond earrings, pearl necklaces....Not real expensive pieces but still...what's up with that?


I used to like the color yellow, now it's blue.

Maybe, I'm slowly morphing into another person. Wait till I surprise my husband when I'm done.

In the past 6 years my dad has gone through 3 convertibles, and is on his 4th. And neither one of them was slow either (except maybe his '82 Mercedes). He's now on his second BMW (traded the last one for this faster model) and dreams of upgrading yet again, to another faster BMW, and taking German delivery of it; in other words he would go "pick it up" in Germany, drive it for a week to 10 days, then drop it off to have it shipped back to the states. His goal in life is to drive it on the Autobahn (sp?) where there's no speed limit .

I got my ears pierced when I was 8, when I was 18 I added a second hole to each ear. Six weeks ago, on a whim, I had the top of my left ear pierced, then a week after that I added a second piercing at the top, and a third set down on my lobes. I keep saying I'm going to get my nose pierced, but my hubby says NOOOOO! It took him 2 weeks to notice the ones in my ears he probably wouldn't even notice...hmmmm.....
By the way, I turn 40 next month, so I guess this is midlife??
