Ok, I have a recipe for a chocolate banana smoothie thing, but it's calling for silken tofu. I've never used tofu in my life. Does that mean soft tofu or should I really be looking for a package that says silken tofu?

There is actually a brand/type called Silken Tofu. You need to look specificallyf or that.

Thanks! I guess I need to hit Ukrops. I can't seem to find it at Food Lion AKA Food Dog.

I think Silkin makes soy based products - at least their yogurt is (and it's excellent!) If so you might look in an organic products section of the store or even a store that specializes in that type of product.

Silken tofu is not a brand, it is a type of tofu (Japanese style--kinugoshi). It should say silken on the box of tofu. Soft tofu is firmer than silken.
