I think each of us sat seperately for about 3 minutes... the guy is good and fast!!

I have the ones of my entire family from the 1970's. Som of course I had to get my two kids done when we went in 2005. I love them and just had them redone last year again. Actually, last year we had it done in downtown disney. It was cheaper and we could charge it. We did tip the man who cut them. Then I bought the wooden oval frame from the World of Disney store. You will never regret getting it done for your family.

Will they do them from a profile photograph? At Disneyland in December we had one done of our basset hound and it's absolutely adorable! Thought I'd bring a pic of my niece to WDW as a Christmas gift for my brother if possible.

the guy told us it would take one minute. it probably took two, lol, but he was so fast. my kids were not perfectly still, either, and changed their facial expressions several times. they still came out awesome.

Me and my boyfriend got ours done by a man across from Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square. They were fantastic, and really cheap for what they were!

My husband and I had ours done on our honeymoon, so it was important to me to have our sons' done also. We had theirs done at the stand in Liberty Square in Sept 2008. There were 2 guys working that night; one snipped and one held a book for my younger son to look at to keep him (relatively) still. I love how it turned out. I think it was around $25, framed. I was able to pay with my Disney Visa (not rewards card, just regular credit card).

I had my DS's done at the Liberty Square location last December. It was done by a lady and she was great. She just told my DS to look at the castle and it took her like 2 minutes. My favorite souvenir of any of my trips. I plan on doing it every few years. Here is a picture of my DS having it done, so that you can see the lady who did a great job. And I was able to use a credit card.

I had them done of my daughter in 2006, 2007 & 2008. Sorry these aren't the highest quality pictures, but you get the idea. I think I spend around $15 each time...my favorite souvenirs!

Yes, they sure are! I think it's around $15 (or it was a few years ago) for the silhouette (2 copies) and 1 frame. I usually don't buy the 2nd frame because I usually scrapbook the 2nd picture.

The reason you get 2 copies (for one price) is because they fold the black paper in half and cut it, therefore producing 2 copies.

I also had my DD's portrait drawn in the MK for around $30...another awesome souvenir!

I have done this on every trip we have taken since my son was born. It is great to the the progression over the years. I always have them date the picture. My mom did this for me when I was little and it is a great memory from all our trips.

I'm going to 2nd a lot of other opinions. We had one done of DD back in 2008 and the girl who did ours was great. We kept one and gave one to my parents for Christmas - they knew immediately what it was. I think we'll do it again on our next trip too. We love ours!
