I was just wondering what signs of Spring happen in other places. I'm still cold but a few warm days & the rain seems to have woken things up. Here in Pa my Snow Crocus have broken through the mulch and seem like they are just waiting for a warm day to pop open. I think the Hyacinth are waiting too but until they all open I won't know for sure. I woke up to a bird chirping who seems to have nested in my fireplace chimney because of course, the storms blew off the cover.

It's almost here right, March is in like a lion out like a lamb:goodvibes

My DD16 was happily watching the birds this morning at the bus stop, she said their music was beautiful:cool1: I am in PA!

Well I'm definately in another part of the country !
Here in the south we've had daffodils blooming for a couple of weeks now
as well as the yellow jasmine and forsythia. Bradford pears are just about in full bloom as well as the flowering cherrie trees. The Yoshino cherry trees are about half way to full bloom. I realized the other day that I have Hyacinths blooming and my lillies are up about 2 inches :cool1:

There are holly bushes in front of my house that are full of nesting Cardinals, and Robins, my cats think their music is beautiful too.

The yellow stuff is always first here, when I see the daffodils start to spring up I know it's almost here, guess that's why they're my favorite flower.

BTW- It's 69º here now with the high expected to be 74º

We have ROBINS!

Oh and American Idol is down to the final 12. :rotfl:

Here in NJ, I was just outside and noticed that the grass is actually turning green again! ... it's still a bit chilly, but I think Spring is about ready to "spring" :goodvibes ... :flower3:

Well, I guess every little bit helps moving forward toward spring, but all I can say for around here is that all the snow is finally gone and it's not literally freezing. I actually think I see the sun trying to break through the clouds! :sunny:

Grass is starting to turn green, my lilacs are getting their beginning buds, my robins and mourning doves have returned, and boy am I ready for Spring!!

Here in PA too:flower3:

Saw my first robin yesterday. My crocus, daffodil, and hyacinth are all coming up!!!! So ready for nice spring weather!!!

ROBINS!!! My neighbors tulips and daffodils are coming up! And our backyard tree has buds!

Oddly, we had a ton of robins here a couple of weeks ago. We really don't see many robins in Florida. Right after that, the temperatures hit 80 degrees! Spring!

Spiders!

I had to take my dog to the emergency vet because she got bite on the snout causing her whole face to swell.

I did not think spiders would be out when it is 35 degrees out. The vet said you would be surprised how many spider bitesd they get this time of year.

We still have 3 feet of snow on the ground. :lmao: No signs of spring yet. And more ice and snow in the near future.

Northern NY. Some say we have 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad sledding. :rotfl2:

I've seen redwing blackbirds, a great blue heron, some trees are just starting to bud. We still have a little snow on the ground and the grass is very wet. We live near wetlands, so our water table is very high. In March, between rain and the snow melting, our back yard (and also our adjoining neighbor's yard) completely flood. I counted 34 ducks swimming in my backyard! We have waterfront property for about one month a year! Yesterday the neighbor kids were paddling a canoe!

Azaliaya's are in full bloom, grass is green, and I have already planted my vegetable garden. But then again that happens when you live on the Texas Gulf Coast.
