Signs of Autumn

I can see it in the sky. It's turning a deeper blue color.
And when the wind blows, I can feel the autumn winds coming.
Our trees are still all green, they don't really change til mid Sept at the earliest. But I can definitely see the difference in the sky.
And it's getting dark by 8-8:30. It used to be light until about 9-9:30.

I've recently noticed that it's starting to get dark a little earlier.. That part makes me sad.. I like the long days..

OT: But did you know that most of the Amish use standard time? (Or some call it "slow time"..) They don't switch around like we do because they need the longer hours of daylight for their farming and such.. Just another little tidbit I picked up in my research..

Yes, there are signs of coming fall. Sometimes the wind blows a bit chillier. And now we have to wear sweaters in the morning until the summer sun warms up the air.

Thank you. It looks like temps will be around 80 for kickoff. I wish it would be cooler, but it will still be fun.

Hoping we have a good year with Matt Moore. I almost threw a party when I heard Delhomme was cut. I have liked Matt for 2 years now...I really hope he does well. This season will stink without Peppers, though. We finally got Moose back for awhile and now Peppers is gone And he was a REAL Carolina boy. Oh well. I know he wants a ring, and he's getting older. Guess I can't blame him.

I wish I could see and feel Fall coming. It is going to be at or near 100 all week and has been this month. We don't really cool down until October here.

Crickets? Cicadas? Signs of Fall? We have had them all summer. Our leaves are starting to fall off some of the trees, but that is because they have been so stressed from the heat this summer and lack of consistent rain.

I really haven't seen any real signs of Fall in the DC/Baltimore area yet this year.

I haven't seen any signs of fall here yet but my friends in Mass. say the leaves where they live are starting to turn color already. I think that's early even for Mass.?? I lovesummer.

Hay fever and other allergies are already kicking in around here. One week it was fine and this week everyone is walking around in a fog from it. Today has been HORRIBLE for me. Though it does explain why I have not been sleeping well and I would rather it be allergies then something more serious.

Mine sinuses have already kicked in last week. Every few days I feel a bit dizzy (not too much) b/c of it. Once November/December hits, I won't be that bad. It just happens b/c of the temperature change from warm to cold and visa versa.

Even though the trees look nice with their color changes, I miss the green leaves. I don't like it getting dark out early since it makes it look later than it really is.

Two things I do like this year are DS8 going back to school and the cooler weather with the lack of humidity.

I am hoping for a good season with Matt Moore, too. I have to admit that the game was rough Saturday night, but I am still holding out hope. The defense looked great! I was so relieved because I was worried about it with Peppers being gone. The offense and special teams really need work. I am hoping by regular season we will be surprising the critics! I am a HUGE Panthers fan and cannot wait for the game this Saturday!

Fall is my favorite season. I wish it lasted 6 months. No signs of it yet, but I do live in Florida. I am so ready for the shorter nights, warm dinners and cool brisk walks. I can't wait to decorate for fall and Halloween!
