I was wondering if you all can give me 1 or 2 of your must do Signature Rests. It's just hubby and myself, so I would like to do one or 2 really nice dinners
Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. Last trip, after we said goobye to the DGS (then age 4) and the kids (his parents) we spent 2 nites decompressing at the BWI. We ate at FF and loved it. Best BEST BEST dinner we have ever had at the World. And we have ADRs to go back in April when we have a "Grams" night out.
After that for a couple on the town - either Chefs de France or Bistro de Paris over in France at Epcot. Hope this helps - Have Fun!!!
Grill is going to be more cutting edge. Flying Fish has some great seafood items. (Blue Zoo is also great seafood but not on DDP and a bit more expensive.) Jiko is a bit exotic and very good. I really like the atmosphere, both the decor and the relaxing feel, of Artist Point, but I'm not sure it's food is as good as it has been.
we just ate at jiko a couple of weeks ago and i was shocked at how great it was. for us, it had the best food of any disney restaurant we've tried. i'm still thinking about the food, lol! we also ate at cali grill, last year. it was very good but not spectacular like jiko was. although, at cali grill, we ate there on our 10th anniversary during the fireworks and the experience was really nice. i would definitely go back there, but more for the atmosphere than the food.
Jiko and the Yachtsman. Jiko is fantastic, we ate at a lot of signatures our last trip and this was by far our favorite. We are somewhat picky eaters and I was worried we wouldn't like the unusal flavors but everything was delicious! Great atmosphere and service too!
I loved Jiko. I had the maize crusted halibut (now sturgeon) and it is still the meal I think of. I also had a amazing glass of wine that was about $7. with the cheese platter appetizer. It was wonderful and very romantic. I was with my daughter but I can see that it would be amazing as a date night. I did not like Narcossee's at the Grand Floridian the lobster made me sick. I liked Yachtsman which had my favorite appetizer which was the chilled seafood salad. The most perfect plate of food ever! My steak was great but huge.
Hands down Cali Grill...eventhough we haven't tried any of the other Sig Restaurants, it is a "must do" each time we go. We first went there 2 years ago on mine and my DH's "Date Night" and we are returning in March for our Anniversary dinner , except we are bringing our kids along this time.
The best meal my wife and I ever had in Disney was at Victoria & Alberts. We did the pre-fixed menu with wine pairing. The experience was like no other!!! The attention to detail, the quality of the food and the service by staff was exquisite. The price may discourage some from the experience, but after we dined here every other meal we had at the other signature restaurants were great but by know means live up to that meal. I have to agree with the other posts regarding California Grill and Jiko. We continue to dine frequently at these restaurants with each trip to Disney.
