Signature Christmas Drink

I'm not a drinker, so this isn't very strong, but it's yummy. Hot chocolate(with the minimarshmellows) and Peppermint Schnapps to taste. The marshmellows kinda soak up some of the Schnapps, and makes them SO GOOD. This is a great drink for someone who doesn't drink often.

godiva chocolate liquor and peppermint creme. serve over crushed ice and garnish with a peppermint stick. So yummy.

This sounds delicious! What is peppermint creme? Is it a liqueur or something I would find with other mixers?

Mimosas and Poinsettias (champagne & cranberry juice) in the am, then wine, Christmas Ale or whatever mixed drinks anyone wants. We'll also have Bailey's on hand to put into coffee or hot chocolate, but now I'm thinking about some peppermint schnapps too.

DH and I tend to drink Baileys this time of year. I also just made a batch of Ponche Crema, which is a typically Venezuelan egg nog containing lots of rum! It has egg in it, but it is cooked long and slowly over a low heat, so the egg isn't raw. It's very rich and very good!

I've also had a holiday Sangria that I'd like to try to make - need to find the recipe. It was basically a red wine Sangria, with seasonal fruits and spices like cinnamon and clove.

Homemade egg nog!!! The store bought stuff will never taste the same after you make your own. Our recipe calls for rum and whiskey.

We also love hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps....

We usually have mimosas in the am and hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps, whipped cream, and a candy cane...however I'm pregnant so no alcohol for me. Does anyone have a non-alcoholic drink to share?

We usually use a dark rum that has more of a molasses taste. But, we sometimes use Captain Morgan's Spiced rum for variety. As for how much? It is to your taste. Some people like it more liquor-y, some don't.

other than plain hot chocolate and non spiked eggnog, the first thing that comes to mind for me as far as non alcoholic would be to use either sparkling water or Sprite in place of champagne for the Mimosas and Poinsettias

Orange juice or cranberry juice with sprite. They are sort of like mimosas. You could get mint flavored hot chocolate too.

Peppermint Mocha White Russians or Mudslides made with Peppermint Mocha Kahlua, vodka and far free milk!

I bought two more bottles of the kahlua today! It's getting hard to find!
