So I got my new toy. The Sigma 35mm Art series. I just wanted it since I played with it at B&H a few months ago. I think it is made unbelievable. Solid solid feel for Plastic. The gloss band around it really makes it pop. It comes with a hood and the case is really nice. I haven't owned a Sigma so I don't know if their other lens come in such a nice case. It's deff not light for a prime. It's got some bulk behind it. I haven't played with it much but I got these 3 shots to show the wonderful Bokeh when opening it up. I threw up 1.8, 2.2, and 3.2. I cropped them to almost 100%. This lens is sharp I feel. Very sharp. All I did in post was white balance, some noise reduction cause it was a Raw file, very little edge sharpening with a 100% mask over it, messed with the curves a bit, and threw in some vignette.

I took some other pics but I haven't reviewed them yet. I deff think I got a good copy for focus. So far I don't see any back or front focus issues.

Thanks! Any input is always welcome!

The Sigma "art" series is getting good reviews
I thought the old "non-art" Sigma 30mm 1.4 was pretty good

Loving my Sigma 35. The 50 and 85 come with a similar case. Nice shots!

thanks! I'm messing with more and more. Today I just shot with it in the house and flash. We leave sat for 8 days so I can't wait to use it for the Halloween party. That's all I'm carrying that night. I'm thinking using it on my 7d should be enough for character shots that night and the parade
