I am looking through the rosters od the ECHL where all my friends went to play after the WHL if they didnt make it in the NHL. and they have ALL retired.

*sigh* I guess 35 is too old to be playing hockey

My DH is 48 and still plays ice hockey on a team made up of men around his age, and a little younger. (He might be the oldest on the team!)

Age is but a number! Don't throw in the towel just yet!

I really dont normally care about age at all, dh had just bought these open tickets so I thought Id see which friends Id be able to see and everyone has retired. So I wont get to see any. Last year I got to see 2. They both said it was their last year as well.

Im sure they'll all be playing in leagues forever until the old timers give out but the pros are out. Heck, even most of my friend in the NHL are getting up there for the Pro leagues.
