"Sideways" Inside Cabins on Magic

I have 6011 on the Magic booked in June 2017. When I asked a DCL CM she said the bed was rotated so it was in line with the motion of the ship (side to side not head to foot). These pictures seem to suggest that is not true. Can any one help confirm one way or another. I can get motion sick so I am a little concerned. Can they turn it if not?

I was in 6011 on the Wonder in Aug/Sept and our bed was exactly as pictured. The motion of the ship was felt moving from Forward to Aft (front to back of ship). The headboard of the bed in those photos are on Starboard or Port. So for us, we were definitely being rocked side to side in our bed (instead of head to foot in normal staterooms).

Agree with this above - we were also "sideways" and not front to back.

We had 6515 on the Wonder last month and I always wanted to stay in a "sideways cabin" and this cruise was just my DH and I so I booked it. I'll be honest, we didn't like it due to the noise aspect. It was by far the loudest cabin we've ever had due to the cabin door almost right in front of the bed and hardly any separation. In addition, specifically for this cabin, I could see light around the door edges so I don't think it's sealed very well as we could hear people talking in the hallway pretty clearly and loudly. We did both like the layout of the cabin which is why I booked it and also, not sure it was the cabin, but it was pretty stuffy/warm in there. I know each sailing can have a different type of cruisers and our sailing definitely had a lot of talkers in the hallway and kids running up and down the hallway. For that reason, I won't book that cabin again but that was just our experience.

Thanks,
Heather

Sideways cabin 5505 on the Wonder is "our" cabin. We've been on 13 cruises and all but two were in that cabin. We LOVE the sideways design. There are only two of us so the bathroom has never really been an issue. In the rare times that it has, there are public restrooms really close by. Also one deck down and you can be outside in a flash!
We will be staying in this room on our next cruise. Are you able to tell me if it has the bunk bed type of bed above the sofa? Thanks so much!

The wife and I have stayed in the sideways cabin several times and we love them . Definitely seems more spacious. The wall between the closet and bathroom was perfect for the dirty clothes. The rocking of the ship was nice while sleeping. You can hear noise from the theater while staying on deck 5 but after the last show it is quite. Also we would try and get a room between two staterooms because we had one next to and employee door once and could hear it opening and closing all night , just a heads up . Would definitely book one again.

Yes it does. (I verified this by doing a cruise search with 4 adults. Cabin 5505 on the Wonder popped up - and then it lists the bedding in that stateroom.)

We we’re just in 5505 on the Magic. I still enjoy it, especially on cruises where the verandah is way pricier.

Bon Voyage!
