Side items instead of dessert

Good to know about BOG we are still on the fence about DDP and I definitely wanted to swap my dessert for French onion soup there if I could on DDP. Does it matter lunch or dinner? We have a dinner resi.

All the reports that have been posted said you can trade dessert for soup at lunch because the soup is a snack credit item. Posters who have asked for the soup at dinner were not given that option. Instead they were offered the salad sampler.

We went for dinner at BOG a couple of weeks ago and were told ahead of time no substitutions for dessert. Maybe it was just our experience. We wanted the dessert so we didn't care.

If this is the only sub you were really hoping for, it sounds like you need to get off the fence and just pay OOP. As further incentive, I thought the new subs for QS would pay off for us because we have two that never eat dessert, and we prefer water over sodas, so that would mean lots of subbing for thing we would really eat (we are 4 Disney adults). I went through the menus and "ordered" what we would want, and at least the QSDP still did NOT save us any money. I say that just to remind that you really need to do the math for yourself and see if any of the plans will work for you.

We just got back and none of the signatures allowed us to sub. The desserts we had were crazy good though so it didn't matter. The check average is high with desserts on there for the signatures. We tipped 20-30 at each since we also ordered wine. We ate at Yachtsman, California Grill and Narcoossees.
