Sickle Cell Anemia

Hey everyone.
I just found out a few days ago that a friend of mine has a disease called Sickle Cell Anemia. I already looked up information online about the disease, but I was wondering if anyone here had any firsthand experience???

I've been to camp which was for special needs children and kids with diff illnesses go and diff times during the summer well i went when they went and they look normal as do i with my diesese but they have to stay at certain temps and i mean not like cold temps hot temps i remember the counslers complainin cause there rooms were so hot...But i know people who have sickle cell and its very painful and i feel so bad when i see them hurting and you really cant do anything but give them pain meds. RaisenBrand08 - Your right, it is painful to see them go through these episodes. It really hurts, not just them, but those who have to watch people they care about go through it. I will pray for those that you know with SCA.
