We are leaving for WDW on Thursday and my DD went to the doctor today and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. YIKES

Send prayers this way that she gets better (she better with the $97 of meds!!! - Rx deductible time...grrrrrrrrrr)

If you are flying, keep an eye out for any sign of an ear infection. Upon landing this had me, as an adult in tears. Best wishes!

With $97 worth of meds, she will probably start feeling better by Thursday. And a trip to isney is a good distraction from feeling bad. Hope you all have a wonderful trip!

Thanks for the happy thoughts. She is feeling better already. I guess the "liquid gold" DOES work!! She is sound asleep as visions of Pooh dance in her head....phew!

We are not flying and I am glad of that b/c I did think about the ear thing - I know that can be a problem. But - nope! We are packing the minivan and making the trek from MD.

Thanks again for your prayers. I just hope that other DD stays well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son gets a lot of upper resp infections and this is the way I look at it: the meds should have them better in a day or two and the antibiotics should keep some other things at bay while you are on your trip.

I'm sure she'll be fine! Those antibiotics can make them feel much better in as little as 24 hours.

However, I would make sure she gets a little extra rest as you don't want her completely worn out while trying to heal.
