I just wanted to start a thread for us people who are sick. I just found out that I have the flu. It takes a lot to get me to go to the doctor. Pretty much my 102.7 temperature convinced me to go. I was told to stay home for the next 1-2 weeks. :guilty:

I hate it because I just got over tonsilitis 3 weeks ago! :confused3

I'm sad because its Christmas and my boyfriend is in town from grad. school and I havent seen him since October....

Basically, this is a thread for us "sicklies" to share bordem busting ideas, recipes that make you feel better, and anything else!!!!!!!!!

:cold:

I've been sick since Thanksgiving..DS is home sick..Pass the tissues

I've essentially been sick with my allergies since April. They were under control for a few months but are now more out of control than ever before. I think I've developed an allergy to Christmas trees now  I've also started with a cold. But that's no surprise. It wouldn't be Christmas if I wasn't sick. But at least this year I finished school earlier (first year of college), so it hit after I came home. I've got a month to recover too. Hopefully that'll be enough time

no time for me to be sick in my house :( My DD had the stomach bug on Fri/Sat and it was yucky. Then, my DS started with a yucky nose which is still there and now DD has his cold although she is done with bug and my DH had the bug all last night and is sleeping now. :guilty:

I think I'm allergic to 5th graders..... :rotfl2: I recently quit my job as a CSI (bad hours) and I have been subbing. I had a 5th grade class 4 weeks ago and got tonsilitis 2 days after I had that class. I had the same 5th grade class this past Wednesday and I find out I have the flu. I started feeling it Friday. :confused3

Awe :guilty: Nothing like kids being sick on Christmas. I hope they feel better! :cheer2:

It could be the kids...that's where mine pick up most bugs, from school. When I called the school/work today I told them who was sick and with what and said we are keeping our germs at home with us....I didn't want to spread the yuckies to everyone else, more so since it is the holidays.

Thanks, I hope everyone else feels better too :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I'm finally getting over getting sick on our cruise the week after Thanksgiving. I came back with a respiratory infection and amoebic dysentery from swimming in polluted water. Ewwwww! I think I have taken just about every antibiotic in the pharmacy in the past few weeks.

Oh No!!! Were you on the cruise that I saw on the news? *Hey, I made a rhyme* :rotfl2: I saw some Princess cruise ship where a lot of people got sick.

 OMG, where did you swim....glad they found something to clear it up.

I'm recovering from having had a tubal ligation last Thurs., have a nasty cold (as does my DS4), and my tubal has set off that time of the month, which I just had last week on vacation and can probably expect to have again in two weeks. Ugh!

My thoughts go out to all of those folks with colds and flus. Right now, I'm using lots of Cloriseptic and Theraflu.

Thankfully, DS is off from preschool for the holidays and I am done with gift shopping and wrapping, so we can relax at home as much as necessary.

It was at Royal Caribbean's private beach Labaadee in Haiti. That was the only time I was in the ocean and I pretty much spent the rest of the cruise in our cabin thinking I had a touch of the flu. It didn't really kick in until we were off the ship. I'm just tearing up my passport and sticking to Hawaii from here on out.

I starting getting sick right after my Disneyland trip. (which was about 3 days ago or so) I hate the feeling of being hot, then cold. My throat hurts so bad. This really stinks because I want to spend time with my friends and it's almost Christmas. I'm just glad I got sick before my WDW trip which is in 15 days. I would have hated to get sick right before my trip.

I hope everyone feels better. :)

I started working at a daycare about a month ago and have been waiting for the germs to catch me.Well I started getting sick last Friday and feel horrible.Sore throat, headache, fever and can't breathe when I lay down.My DD1 has it too.I really hope we feel better by Saturday.
