I just need to vent that I am sick of being sick!!!
I feel liek I am never going to get off of one of my medications.
I was started on cyclosporine (an immunosuppresent) about 2 years ago. I stayed on that medication for about a year befor ethey had to take me off of it becasue my kidney function was declining.
So they switched me to methotrexate which I started a year ago. They had started me on 20mg weekly and finally after 6 months they went down to 17.5mg weekly with a goal of getting me off of it in about 4-5 years. well, my doctor lowered my dose to 15mg about 3 weeks ago but it is not working well at that dose so she let me know on friday that she wants me to go back up to 17.5 mg adn we will try and drop teh dose again in another 6 months. Shes not confident that we will be able to drop teh doses anymore than 2.5 mg once a year.
I hate this medication!!
It makes me sooo miserable. I get sick from everything (Ive been hospitalized 4 times since I started becasue of colds that have become bronchitis)
I take it tuesdays and all day wednesday I am exhausted, i cant eat becasue I'm so nauseus adn i'm just all over miserable (and of cours eI am in school all day on wed.)
Thinking about another 5 years of this makes me want to scream sometimes
and on top of this I have asthma that we are having trouble controlling, a heart arrhythmia that we are pretty sure is never going to be 100% controlled, plus a benign brain tumor that we are trying to figure out how to deal with
And people wonder why I'm so happy to be going to WDW in july....All I want to do is lay in a hammock at CBR for 5 days
