Friday afternoon I started feeling - off. I knew it was coming... some sort of germs had invaded my body.

I started with the Airborne, I started with the Vit C.... I still got the germies.

In bed alllll day Saturday, alllll day Sunday. Felt better Sunday evening and felt like poop again, all day yesterday. But last night again, feeling better.

This morning, feeling better - but now again, I FEEL LIKE (you know) and Im sick of it!!! UGH!

When will this nasty bug go away!?!?!?

Mine lasted for over 3 weeks  :scared: I am still not completely well.

Hope you feel better soon.

Some of those upper respiratory viruses (bad colds) can go on for weeks. I know that my boss came down with a HORRIBLE cold this past Tuesday. He struggled in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. He finally had to take Thursday and Friday off. Said he really didn't feel "right" until Sunday. Give it some time. At least you are getting a little bit of improvement.

Three weeks??!?!? FORGET IT! Im driving off a bridge, at lunch.

Im fairly new at this company, and still want to create a positive impression - otherwise Id be home, and snuggled up in bed. So, during these positive impression times Im acting like Im working at my desk, but really just zoning and spacing out - I think about epidemics and how half of them start because of people like me, whom wont call in sick!!!!

Then a co-worker of mine - called in yesterday AND today..... and IM JEALOUS!!! Not fair, not fair, not fair....

One of my coworkers called in sick yesterday -- she was sick over the weekend and called her dr because she is 6 wks pregnant (I didn't say prego :teeth: ) and didn't know what to do. Her dr thought she had the flu. She came in today but still feels lousy. We have a 2 hour meeting together this afternoon-- I told her she needs to go home because my immune system is down from being sick and last thing I need is to get whatever she has.

If I come in sick I at least try to stay to myself and not go in anyone's office.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I woke up sick this morning, stuff coming out of both ends (TMI). I was just added to dear SO's insurance so I haven't gotten my card yet and no one is at her office to give us the group #, so I can't see a doctor. :( I hope I get to go in a couple of hours, I feel really bad.

I called in sick to the pre-school, I feel bad because we are already short one teacher, but I really don't want to gove a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds what I have.

I haven't called into the second job yet, but I probably will.

That happened to me after seeing everyone Christmas day - it progressed to a sinus infection and took three weeks to go away. As soon as it was gone for a day, my throat starting feeling funny again yesterday :crazy2:

I going on week 3 myself being sick and still feel weak and tired. I finally went back to work this week. Thiis cold and sinus infection will not shake. I still sound horrible. I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow. I hope she can found out what's going and why I have not got well.

You only still indoors so much until the walls start closin in.

I was diagnosed with a bronchial infection on the Tuesday before Christmas, a lot of coughing and having a hard time breathing. I still have a little cough but the worst part of the whole deal is that I was coughing so much and so hard that I broke two ribs. So while the sick part is over, the pain part lasts for at least six weeks until the ribs heal.

I've been sick since right after Christmas. Started out with a tickle in my throat, turned into a bad cold, which turned into pneumonia. I finished my antibiotics and tried to get lots of rest (I don't like to rest!) and was actually feeling better for awhile. Well, I woke up this morning with, you guessed it, a tickle in my throat again! I think I need to be in a bubble. :teeth:

Ugh. Sometimes with that yucky viral stuff, you can feel almost human in the morning, then you crash and burn again by nighttime. :crazy2:

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it'll soon run it's course and not turn into anything even ickier.

Sorry for all those medical terms like 'ickier' and 'yucky.' :)

This is exactly what happened to me, timing wise also. The first course of antibiotics did not work and when I went back for a follow up the chest x-ray showed it was double lung pneumonia now. The second type of antibiotics seems to be working. I came back to work today (missed all of last week), but still am not feeling 100%.
