Shuttling to Seaworld from Ft Wilderness?

My parents will be staying at Fort Wilderness in their RV but want to take a day trip to SeaWorld. They will only have the RV with them, no other vehicle. What would be the best way to get to SeaWorld? Does Disney have a shuttle (I doubt it very much but just had to ask)? Should they just clear out of the campsite that morning and drive the RV to SeaWorld, then head back to the camp when they leave SW? Or what would a cab cost? And would one pick them up at Ft Wilderness, or would they have to go to another site to get a cab? Your help is very much appreciated.

You might want to post this on the Camping at Disney section on these boards. They might have some good ideas since they are the campers and I'm sure they have tackled that problem before.

jkmmah - don't know if this would work for your parents, but last month my friend was in WDW without a car. She arranged a pick up by FL Tours for their day at SeaWorld - it was $30. (+tip) each way, but she raved about the service - they picked them up right at their hotel at the scheduled time - ditto when they finished their day at SeaWorld. Not sure how cab fare would compare, they would also have to check as to where a car service or cab could pick them up at FW - they may have to take the internal bus up to the front building. Unless they really can't swing the expense, I wouldn't pack up and leave the site for the day - that would be waaay too much hassle for me !

I just returned from 10 glorious days in the WDW area, and if there's one thing I gained from this trip in particular, it is local "transportation on a budget" knowledge. I travel solo and refuse to let the shuttle companies penalize me for single occupancy.
I stayed at the Comfort Inn at Lake Buena Vista and found my way on the city buses to SeaWorld, Florida Mall, Belz Factory Outlets and Costco. (a must see in every city)
If you take a Disney bus to the transportation and ticket center, the LYNX city bus has a regular stop there. It will be the #50, downtown Orlando bus that you want. It stops right in front of SeaWorld for $1.25. (15 min. ride) You can return to Disney on the same bus running in the opposite direction across the road from your original stop. If you want to go to Belz factory outlets or Wet and Wild, get off at the stop in front of SeaWorld and then transfer to the #8, which will take you past Wet and Wild, and right to the mall. You can also get to Universal Orlando the same way. Get on the #50 and ask the driver which bus to transfer to for Universal. Believe me folks, this is a cheap and painless way to get to these locations from Disney. The buses run well into the late evening, so they won't leave you stranded after park hours. Once you return on the city bus back to the transportation and ticket center, you can take your shuttle back to your hotel.
I had a very bad experience with a shuttle driver trying to rip me off on my way to Florida Mall and at that point explored all of my other options. On my next trip, I am going to buy a weekly bus pass for $10, (unlimited rides) and explore even more areas. I would suggest visiting the www.golynx.com website before you leave home to get some general bus information, and then write down and take their phone number with you. In one call, you can find out about everywhere you need to get to for $1.25. I hope this information helps you as much as it did me.
