We were planning on taking a shuttle to our Hotel, were seriously considering Grayline, but we have altered our plans a bit. We are going to rent a car for the day we arrive and the next day, to go to Long Beach and San Diego. Renting from Avis that is just down the street a bit from the corner of Katella and Clementine. Grayline would drop us off on harbour and we would have to walk from a bus stop with all our luggage, something I am not looking forward too, anyone know of a shuttle service that may be able to drop us off right at the Avis Dealer, that is reliable and fairly reasonably priced? FYI our Hotel is the Holiday Inn and Suites on Walnut.

Thanks

Did you look at renting the car outta LAX then one way return to Anaheim?

Supershuttle would be your best option.

How many people in your party, jkpmac?

I did some research for my upcoming trip, and I am considering a couple of shuttle companies to use: Prime Time Shuttle or Super Shuttle. Both are shared-van and I'm sure they can drop you off at the hotel closest to the Avis location. The price for my family (2 adults & 1 child) is comparable to DRE.

Are you going to Long Beach and San Diego on the same day? It's 100+ miles between the two cities.

I highly recommend super shuttle. We have used them with the discounts on the Anaheim oc that sohpies mom posted above

We are renting from Avis at LAX and returning to the Avis on Katella, I did some research and Avis had the best price on the one way rental. National, Alamo, Dollar and Enterprise all have reasonable rates on a one way rental from LAX to Anaheim and have return locations close to Disneyland, Alamo even has one at DTD. The cost of having the one way rental was not allot more than paying for a shuttle and returning the car to LAX so the convenience was worth a few extra dollars.

On our first day, we plan to go to Long Beach, see the Queen Mary and dip our feet in the Pacific. The next day we go to San Diego. We rented from Anaheim because we got the best deal, and when you are travelling for the better part of a month, the best deal is important. One of the important things is to get to the dealership. Grayline would drop us off at a bus stop several blocks away, with 3 large suitcases and carry-ons, it would be a bit of a walk, with a child. prime Time could drop us off at the dealership, or drop two of us at the hotel and one at the dealership. Have to check out super shuttle now. Thank You all for the great advice!
