Hi everyone!
In order to save a little $ this trip, we decided to fly in the day we sail and fly out the day come back into port.
I'm trying to decide what to do for transportation. With 5 of us, Disney's ground transfers of $70/PP each way is a bit out of my range.
I recall seeing plenty of locals offering ($10/PP) shuttles at the airport last time. Does anyone have experience with them?
I'm trying to figure out what would be the most cost effective mode of transportation.
Taxi
Rental car
Local shuttle
Private shuttle

Anyone have experience or advice on this?

I'm listening in on this topic, too, as I've researched pretty much every avenue and have only managed to see a $5 difference pp. :( Hopefully someone has some good ideas!

It is $35 per person each way, not $70. Since you want to do same day travel, DCL transfers are your best bet.

We hired a private limo to take us back from PC to the Orlando airport. It was a huge SUV and held all 5 of us. It was less than $100 and took us door to door. I can't remember the name of the service, but my husband found it online.

Happy Limo is a highly recommended shuttle service. We used them recently for our group of 10 and it was fantastic.

With that many in your party, I think it would be cheaper for you to hire a car service for each leg, probably less than $300 even with tips (unless you get a limo). We use Southern Elegance (selimo.net) and have for more than a decade. They will prebook both legs of the journey and go over pick up times with you. They also offer one free grocery stop on the way to the ship at a Publix that has a liquor store attached. The husband and wife who run it are awesome and accommodating and every one of their drivers is courteous and on time.

We went on the Dream back in February with my family of 5. We were very happy with using ACE Luxury transportation. They picked us up in a large van right on time and dropped us off at the port. Also picked us up and brought us to the airport after the cruise. They were very reasonably priced and had free car seats.
