shuttle launch

Where do guests staying on property see the shuttle launch from .I know we will only see it in the sky but would be very exciting .

Oh good luck. We tried to catch the last shuttle launch 3 times when we were there. Sadly we had to leave the morning that Endeavor actually launched!

We have been coming to Florida since 1997 and this will be the first time there will be a launch and we do not return to the UK until 10 sept .So do feel really hopfull but i know what you mean .

You should be able to see the launch from any where on WDW property. Just face East about 15 - 20 seconds after launch and you will see it blasting towards space. For the best view, drive to Cocoa Beach ( 1 hour east). You would be 8 miles from the Launch site as opposed to 60 miles.
It is Amazing from the beach. The problem is, you never know if it is actually going to go off and then the traffic to get back to Orlando is a Nightmare taking up to 3 to 4 hours for a 1 hour drive.
If the launch goes off it is worth the traffic, if the launch is scrapped the drive home stinks.

Great place to see it is from Boardwalk front by parking lot sidewalk. Just walk the sidewalk until about the bus stop and look toward the bus stop. We saw a shuttle go up there and it was inpressive.

Looks like they're planning on making this a middle of the night launch..
