Because of a pipe leaking the shuttle did not launch today. NASA says the earliest launch window is now Sunday between 1 and 5 pm.
I can just picture us lounging on the deck as the space shuttle flys over.

Isn't it amazing what DVC will do to ensure that we get those special memories?

We drove to the cape twice from WDW in 1987? to see a shuttle launch, got up early and went all the way out there, launch cancelled. The third day we set the alarm, the alarm malfunctioned and did not ring, woke just in time to see the blasted launch on TV. Every trip since has not been in a launch window. Do not count your shuttles until they are launched.:jester:

Unfortunately, the shuttle launch is scheduled now for Monday.

I too was looking forward to seeing it.

We had planned to see this flight since Dec. It was originally set for 3/21. It was then changed to 4/4. Hotel rooms we had reserved for $75 in December were now unavailable and we had to stay in Melbourne for $100 per night. There was no way we could stay in Fla. for another 3 days at $100 a night not knowing if it would go up. We did get to see it on the pad.
We wil try again.
By the way, there was nobody in New York this week. They were all in the North bound lane of I-95.
We will try again.
We are hoping the 9/15 launch get pushed back a week so we will be able to see it when we get back from the 9/14 cruise.
