Shuttle from LAX--did I make the right decision?

I've been surfing for a decent rate from LAX returning to SAN. The best I can do for four days is around $200 for the car to sit in the lot. I'm pretty sure we will use the Disneyland shuttle for $19 each (just two of us) and then rent an Alamo car for $72 on the checkout day to drive to SAN and turn in the car at the airport on the same day.

Any other advise?

I just dealt with LAX during the holidays this year and I was able to get a great Priceline deal for a intermediate car at LAX for $14 a day. Have you tried them out? It saved me well over $50 from the other travel sites. If you have your own car it is sometimes nice if you want to stop at a store to pick up supplies or maybe eat out at a non Disney themed restaurant.
