Hi,

We, ok me, are huge picture fanatics and our trips are always an indulgence of pictures and the kids know it and now they are even into it.

Anyways, I have been seeing a post here and there about having a private session with a shutters photographer.

Has anyone done this and can you tell me about it. How did you arrange it - once on board or beforehand? Did the photographer take you to different locations on the ship? How long did it last? And ofcourse what was the price tag? (we always buy all the pictures and the CD, that is my splurge!) We have had private sessions on other cruise lines as well as at the World and they have been fabulous!

Can a character also join for part of it? I am sure that comes with a hefty price tag too?

Any and all insights much appreciated!

Not sure about booking a character, I think I have seen where it is $500 for that (also was an old price if memory serves).

As far as private sessions, there are normally signs up and if not, I am sure an inquiry at Shutters will answer your question. The "private" sessions may not have as much to offer as one on land would.

Disney is pretty good about having back drops for the theme nights and such, we spent about 5 minutes with a photographer at one of them, it was free and not a paid private session. Got some great pictures. I will also note, no one else was in line at that time, so we were not rushed, if there are 30 people behind you, I would not expect them to spend tons of time with you. They tend to use common sense normally.
