Considering buying the photo package.
We love memory maker at WDW, but I know Shutters is a different company.
Do you feel it is worth it for a 4 night cruise?
Anyone know the pricing, can you buy in advance for a discount like MM?

Also, will they take it with your camera like the photo pass people at WDW?

Here's the info I've gathered:

PHOTOS (Sep 2014)

Individual prices are:
8X10 print - $20.95
6X8 print - $14.95
Digital - $20.95

The packages are 6 ($99.95), 10 ($149.95), 15 ($199.95), and 20 ($249.95) photos. Different length cruises have different options. You can also purchase an all prints package (all your photos printed) for the same cost as the length of cruise full digital package. There is a reduced price for the full digital package, if you pre-purchase online.

The length of cruise digital package cost varies with length of cruise. The prices I've seen are (for pre-cruise purchase/onboard cost):
7 night $295.95/$100.00 to add prints/$349.95, $100.00 to add prints;
5 night $249.95/$50.00 to add prints;
4 night $194.95/$75.00 to add prints/$229.95, $75.00 to add prints;
2 night $199.95/$50.00 to add prints

Special digital package prices (or just the all prints package)
14 night $339.95/$100.00 to add prints;
12 night $399.95/$100.00 to add prints

The 6, 10, 15, & 20 photo packages can be either prints or the full digital package with 6, 10, 15, or 20 photos unlocked for your access once home.

Photobook $149.95

Shutters photographers will not use your camera to take your picture. Often there is a DCL CM assisting the Shutters photographer, and they will use your camera to take your picture.

@PrincessShmoo beat me to it. As for "worth" that's a hard call. Some say it took away from their trip trying to take so many pics to make it worth it. Others say even a few pics made it valuable.

Thanks a bunch! This helps!

As far as the value, the way we look at it this. Say for a 7 night cruise the cost for the CD and prints is 400. We look at how many pictures we have taken and break it down from there. So if you look at it as 15 for 6x8, yould have to take at least 26 pictures to break even. At 50 picture, the cost is down to about 7 dollars a picture. The more pictures you take, the better the price for the per picture. Weve been on cruises that weve had more then 400 pictures taken. When you do a sitting, say with the ship as the background, they'll take 4 or 5 pictures. Sometimes more. Bigger families the more pictures, so the value starts to add up after a while, and its not really hard to do. Next cruise we do, most likely well have my sons gf and my dd best friend so they'll be between 5 and 7 of us traveling, and the pictures will add up quick.
