Shutters at Vero?? Can someone tell me how it is?

We have only eaten there for breakfast and we really enjoy it. It is not a buffet. I think there are menus on Allears. We also like the Green Cabin for drinks and appetizer type foods. The restaurant is rarely busy but then again we usually go in January when it's nice and quiet.

We ate breakfast at Shutters on our first morning at Vero Beach back in June, and we LOVED it! We ended up eating there every morning. We never tried dinner, though.

Shutter's is a great place to eat... Though in previous years, we've taken friends there and they thought it was a bit overpriced.

If you have kids, make sure to do the Character Breakfast or watch to see if they have any other special events like "Pirates" night... Those are a blast..

Also... One other must-do at VB is to have lunch on the balcony of the Green Cabin Room... It's become somewhat of a tradition for us... There's nothing like eating a burger on that balcony and enjoying the unobstructed view of the ocean.

I want to say that the Character breakfasts are on Sunday's all year, and then sometimes on Wednesday's during the Summer... Goofy is the main character, though usually they either have Donald or Max there..

VB had a themed "Pirate Day" during the week when we were there last year where the crafts were Pirate related, as were a lot of the activities.. We ended the day with dinner at Shutter's with a "Pirate Goofy" and "Pirate Donald". Again... Lot's of fun!

I'm fairly confident that the character breakfast is Saturdays. I don't know if it's Sundays too.

Now that you mention it, I think you are right... We've gone once or twice to it on the morning of check-out, and we are usually checking out on Saturday mornings..

Oh well that is great........We are there over a weekend so our bases are covered.
