Perhaps someone that has been to the park already can help me with this....

I found that DA has a place called Shutterbuttons where you can purchase the moving pictures just like the movies of yourself/friends/family. Unfortunately there is barely any information online about this.

My questions is... Does anybody know how much this will cost?

My family and I are trying to budget a trip accordingly for February.

Thanks!

Any chance this might be included in the Photo Connect/Star Card??

I know, I know... wishful thinking - but a girl can dream, right?

I asked on Sunday, and this won't be part of the photo card program that Universal offers.

Per inside the magic. It is $80 per person.

I checked them out... couldnt find anything.

I've been doing a search and twitter and people are saying it's the 80 per person you mention for the DVD... I was wondering if they sell the digital frames for the DVDs? I saw one in a video that had buckbeak's feather.

I will ask tomorrow morning for the price.

I did going in the story yesterday. I thought it was cool until I found out all they have for you was a DVD video with your green screen video on it. I didn't ask anything further as a video file wasn't what I wanted. I wanted a moving picture in a frame.

I think the best we can hope for is a discount with your Star Card.

it is the (Orlando insider) which I have also been unable to post links on this page. I guess they have issues with one another. If you google shutter buttons it will come up and you can read the forum page that he posted! :) It is neat, but different then what I expected. I thought it would be an actual moving picture you could put in a frame.
I did read that you can get the AP discount on the DVD though!

It took me a bit, but I found it (it's "informer", not "insider").

Shutter Buttons is this nifty little shop nestled behind the Quidditch supplies & Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. The shop allows you to create a DVD "photo album" of your party adventuring in the Wizarding World. I saw video of this at Inside the Magic, and I didn't know quite what to expect, so here's the deal:

If you want to try it, ("it's free to try!" the team members will tell you) you'll be ushered into a small green screen room with a spectacularly steampunk camera mounted to the wall. The team member will describe the scenes to you and direct your party to act in accordance with the event that will be added in. When you're done, you'll be shown 3 preview scenes and offered the DVD if you want to see the rest. The DVD comes in 2 cases. A soft plastic case (see the image below) for $69 or a metal case for $79. Annual Pass Discounts do apply to the cost.

We were crazy and did it...and I learned 3 things when I watched the resulting video. 1) this is an awesome idea. 2) the team members need to be more careful about the cut off lines at the edge of the image...they ruin a great thing and 3) don't wear a green shirt like my friend did, or you have an "invisibility shirt."

If you'd like to see what the shutterbutton's video looks like, I've uploaded ours to a private YouTube video. Not that you want to look at us, but if you're considering buying, this will really honestly show you what you're getting, problems, cool stuff, and all.

And here's her YouTube video!

I have to say, I know it's just a DVD, but I think I want it. So does my daughter. 80 dollars is steep, but it's not so bad if we go halvsies with our daughter! (And then bully the other kid into participating...) I just need to convince my husband.

Thank you everyone for the info.

I'm still trying to find out if they sell the actual digital frames or not.. If I find anything out I will report back.

But $80?

The "invisibility t-shirt" is funny! Perhaps the could have robes for everyone in the future!

Really like the video and the cheesy acting (no offense) I'm trying to get past the price though, maybe by Sept I might be up for it.

My mind was saying "informer" but my hands typed "insider" for some reason. I blame it on inadequate caffeine levels at time of posting! Sorry!! ;)

Asked you question about price and exactly what you get a couple of hours ago at the store.

Price - 79.99 (on sale for opening for 49.99, no answer on how long that will last).

What you get - 12 moving photo scenes shot on green screen as a video file. (Basically a movie that plays as a sort of magical photo album). No frame just the DVD with the video loaded on it.

Good news - NO CHARGE to film the scenes and watch your magical photo album movie. You decide to buy after they make it for you.

Very cool! Pretty pricey though...

My DD has been playing with iMovie templates and that's what this reminds me of - just with the added fun of a green screen.

Thanks for posting this! It looks REALLY cool! PRICEY, but cool! I know my 7yr old boy would absolutely LOVE this as he runs around the house in his robe and HP glasses…looks like this will be the souvenir for our trip in a couple of days!
