Honestly we did have a good time even if thus far it doesn't sound like it....
For the most part the 3 little ones were oblivious to the drama and just playing. Alison for her part was in a alternate reality for her.
Now.... let me explain about Alison, she has been to Disney lots of times 3 with my family and several other family members. However we usually split up and get together at the end of the day. So I always asssumed when they were in a park they were doing the rides etc.. It turned out this trip that MOST of the attractions she simply has not done nor seen.
Her mom has been very ill since she was 3, So it seems that although they have been coming to Disney they mostly have been walking around.
Although she is technically my cousin.... Not my neice she calls me Auntie as she is a contempary of my kids. her Mom My Aunt is 20 years older than me, I had my kids at 19 and up and she hers at 48. So our UUMMMM parenting styles are very, very differant. Being with me for a week was total anarchy for her. ANd I think she liked it....
This day we went offsite to MArriott Grand vista. I had exchanged my intown week for a week here in a one bedroom. And rented my Mom ANd Alison a studio thru Intervals getaways program. The complex was about 10 minutes at most away. Both Units were immacualte, well appointed and HUGE. The complex is very impressive and has activities for the kids all day long 7 days a week. We we were pleased but still it was not the Boardwalk.. ( insert Heavy sigh)
This day we went to MGM, We arrived at lunchtime and went to Sci Fi. Alison had never been there, I said well where do you usually eat? She said The Brown Hat place, where you have to be quiet... ( Heavy sigh)
Well this is my kids fave place we of course had our lite up ice cubes and we had a great time.
Then we did Catastrophe canyon. Alison had never seen it.. Loved it..
We then went into the animation station and saw the Incredibles at the end all the kids went nuts and LOVED it. They got some photos with them and used the computer animation screens and then Frozone showed up they went nuts..
We did Star tours Alsion did it for the first time, liked it, but did not opt to do it a second time with the boys. we poked around a bit.. Didn't do any of the headliner roides as noone voluntered to watch the little boys while ds 10 did them. boy was he mad... I have to figure out October and how to get him on these while alone with the little boys. I fealt so bad for him. He is at that in between stage...
We left MGM and went to Pizzaria UNOS. Regan fell asleep in the car on teh way there so He and I sat in teh car. While Nana took the rest of them into the restauraunt. When they came out We went to the Publix near Grand Vista and stocked up for the rest of the week. I of course bought way too much. I just wanted to get back to the Villa and start my laundry from POFQ. I stayed up and did laundry nad got settled.
Also I have ordered candy baskets from feralpeg several times. But needed 5 this time and it was beyond my budget. So I had brought the stuff myself and that night made them all little baskets so they would have them when they got up. They were just fine and they didn't know the differance. So finally day 3 was a great day
