I've eaten at Shula's 5 times and eaten at Yachtsman once and am very hesitant to return, I'd say it's either on par with the formality of Yachtsman or slightly above given how people dressed when I went there.
I've always had better food at Shula's than Yachtsman.
Shula's sides are A la Carte as opposed to Yachtsman which has composed plates including sides. I personally prefer to order the sides separately.
I would highly suggest the BBQ Shrimp, Crab Mac and Cheese, and Chocolate Souffle (order it early as it's made to order). Alcohol here is generally on the cheaper side as far as signature restaurants goes.
Steer clear of the 48oz porterhouse, the sear on it wasn't on par with the smaller steaks I've had there in the past and the meat near the intersection of the T Bone was very raw even when ordered Medium Rare plus
My sole complaint is that there's no Au Poivre option.
We like to order a few of the larger steaks and split them between us. We can actually eat there pretty reasonably with that tactic
