i welcome your opinions in deciding between these two. DH loves steak. I prefer fish. We're already going to the Flying Fish and he wants either steak or Italian another night.

Shula's is better. Not sure if they have a fish entree though. Yachstman has at least one fish entree, plus a chicken entree.

All in all Shula's is better food and service, but more expensive. If I chose it would be Shula's, which breaks my heart as Yachtsmans used to be WDW's best.

ITA with Anne. YSH used to be fabulous but they have really slipped. My last experience with them was last Nov. and while the service was superb, the chefs seem to have forgotten that steak does not equal charcoal!

Shula's on the other hand continues to excel in service and food. You will pay for it -- somewhat dearly -- but for excellent steak done to perfection, you cannot do any better at WDW.

Hopefully, YSH will start to improve because I am going to miss them on my next trip. :(

If you look at the menus for both places and then order smartly at Shula's you will see that it is not really not that much more then YSH and it's quality and service is far better. The key to Shula's is to split side dishes since they are huge. Actually, EVERYTHING is huge!

Shula's is much better than Yachtsman. The service at Yachtsman has become too hap-hazard, not like before when it was a true steakhouse. I bet the Y's would be good for dinner after 8:00pm though. When they have less tables. Shula's has terrific meats, like Y's used to.

I like both (love the Yachtsman). If you have one of the "Plans" your choice is simple-Shulas isn't on any of them.

Shula's does have the best quality--and largest portions-of steak.
Service there could be a bit more "Disney friendly", tho it is efficient and "correct".
Another possible consideration--if a good beer with dinner is of any concern, the beer list at Shula's is woeful. YSH however, offers 30+ selections. Not sure about wine list comparisons---.
But again--meat vs meat--Shula's comes out the winner.
