Shuffling Points

I need some collective wisdom. I am in the process of purchasing a new contract. I also have invited family to Disney this November and planned on booking right at 7 months using points from one of my contracts.

However, now I want to sell this contract. All of my contracts have the same UY. The points from my new contract (assuming I pass ROFR) will not be available till around June 1.

Can I strip the points into another contract with a transfer, or would they revert upon sale of the original contract. Basically, I am not sure if all my contracts are truly distinct since my add on's seem to be subs of my primary contract. (The one I want to sell.)

If all your contracts are titled the same and have the same UY, it means you have 1 master account. In which case, there's no way to "transfer" the points. The easiest way to tell is your account page. Are the contracts listed as ####.01, ####.02... where #### are the same number?

To sell contract A (where points are being used in the Nov res), you'd have to wait for that vacation to finish before closing.

The alternative is to have MS reallocate the Nov res to use points from other contracts.

I would keep the contracts and rent out reservations.

I like the keep and rent option, but the boss won't let me.

Anyone know if MS will let me follow the suggestion above and swap the points used if I am not trying to circumvent the home resort advantage? That could work, but I assumed it was not an option...

You shouldn't have any problems swapping out points. Just be clear and tell them which contract to not use.
