I'm not sure about the character breakfasts but he and Donkey do a meet and greet at the Studios near the attraction exit.

there is a character dinner at the kitchen. shrek and scoobydoo were there.

Is that Dinner at the Kitchen a buffet or do you order off the menu?

The kitchen has a kids buffet for dinner, with chicken tenders, mac and cheese, etc. Everyone else orders off the menu.

There is a fixed spot outside the shrek ride exit where Donkey, Fiona and Shrek hang out on and off all day. That Donkey is so funny! and sounds amazingly like the real donkey.
