Shrek 4-D

is Shrek 4-D FOTL now. and if not is there a way to get into this without standing an hour we are staying at HRH in June

My family and I were at Universal this past July and had no problems getting into Shrek 4D, which everyone loved (and all my kids are teenagers). The line moved fast, and there was entertaining stuff to read on the way, too. I don't remember if it offered FOTL because we didn't use it if it did. The crowd was the size you'd expect in July and, again, we didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes.

They still have express for Shrek. If you are staying onsite, you will be able to use your hotel card for FOTL on Shrek.

thanks for info my grand kids swear last years spring break time it wasn't fast pass and that was why we didn't go but this year we will be.

They didn't have express for awhile on Shrek (can't remember the exact dates) but since they have opened a second theater, they now have express. They always had it for hotel guests but it wasn't available on the express passes for awhile.

The second theater has also greatly reduced wait times for the most part comapred to when there was only 1 theater.

I work at Shrek and we do have the Hotel Key express. We don't like to call it FOTL as for our attraction the term "front of the line" isn't possible. We have Express (room key and Express Plus). People wait in the express line - generally 15 minutes or LESS - and when one of the theatres is ready to load, then the express people are put on that line ahead of the people who are non-express. Because we take 300 people at a time the line that goes INTO the theater may have quite a few people in it already!

And yes - now that we have two theatres the wait time is dramatically reduced! The second theatre was opened March 23, 2005. Just before that time the ONLY express allowed was the hotel room key. That changed to allow the Express Plus shortly after the second theatre opened.

We were just there and I didnt know they added a second theater! We went in the same door as all the other times, this past trip. Cool to know.

me and my family went to USO/IOA last June and they didn't have FOTL then, but they might have it now. it had some interesting stuff during the wait. and we had express passes too !!!

They've always had express for Shrek for the onsite hotel guests. They did discontinue express for other guests though for awhile but it is back with the express pass plus.

last year when i went on shrek, i was told by hrh to contact the employee working that line.
the fotl/hotel guests showed their hotel key to the person by the door for entrance.

you are right phamton about no express separate for a time last year.
it wasn't advertised except to hotel guests by the front desk.

i showed my hotel key to the employee and was told to wait at the corner then let in prior to those in the long line.

Hey...

Although now don't go to the door where they are loading people as we'll just have to send you back to the entrance. There IS a separate entrance for Express (though it is right next to the regular line).

The trick to Shrek for non-express people is to either do it FIRST thing EARLY in the morning, or wait until later afternoon or early evening. It's one of the first rides as you come into the park and most of the crowds do it right as they enter. Going "backwards" in the park is a great idea in many cases....i.e. don't go straight which goes right by Shrek and Jimmy Neutron - go right and head towards T2:3D and head back that way.

And feel to say "hi" if you see me! I love it when I meet people from the boards.

Any way, I am 5'2", pleasantly plump, have reddish hair with blond streaks, curly. Wear glasses, dressed like a Henchman, and will torture upon the slightest provocation.
