Showtime Rotisserie

We bought one of these a couple years ago, and never got around to using it until recently. OMG, I can't believe how much I love it! My tri tip, roasts, london broil, chicken, I cook everything in it and it comes out so awesome! I usually just use the large basket, but for a large roast or chicken I'll use the spit. I'm using mine at least once a week now, it's just so easy! Last night I cooked a london broil seasoned with just some garlic salt and Montreal Steak Seasoning, popped it in there, and in 35-45 minutes it was done, and my vegetables steamed on the top at the same time. The company we had over raved and raved about how good it was. I LOVE this thing!

I have had one since they first came out and LOVE IT!!!
If you like the seasoning on the whole chickens, like all the grocery store ,get lawry's season salt , cover heavy with it. and then cook, It's great.

We have had one for a few years now. We really like how the food turns out, but it is such a pain to clean.

We still take it out from time to time though.

Really? I think it's easy to clean! I use the drip tray which is non stick and a breeze to clean, and the spit and baskets you can just throw in the dishwasher, though I usually wash mine by hand.

I posted about this months ago when I first saw it on TV....I wanted to know if anyone had one and what they thought of it! I got no reply then. Now I see them in the stores and I have been curious as to whether they were any good or not. Do they save electricity, do you think?

Considering my oven is electric, I think they do. It doesn't take long to cook, and everything comes out juicy and fabulous! Did I mention how much I love mine!

I had heard that it was difficult to get something like a whole chicken onto the spit. Does anyone have trouble with that?
Since my roommate is moving and taking his @#$ wine rack off my counter (I'm very possesive of my counter space!) I was thinking of getting one. Is there one type better than another?

I have a Showtime too, for about 3 years now. I LOVE IT!
On Thanksgiving I had a turkey in the oven and a spiral ham in the rotiserie

It's simple! No trouble at all. We love it! We have the Showtime large size. 3 baskets and the steamer. Chickens are so juicy! We've experimented with different injection sauces. Pork loin is great too. Turkey! yummm. Baby carrots in the steamer are great too.

Another seasoning that we use is that Schilling makes a rotisserie dry rub. We'll sprinkle this all over the chicken. It turns out pretty good, too! Just like the Costco rotisserie chicken.
