Just need one more day and our complete schedule will be up - finally!!

I'm trying to plan shows, parades and such, mainly for DD who'll just be 2.

We are there for 3 days, Monday - Wed, the first day, probably not at opening, but in the morning. Do we do our MM on Tuesday or Wednesday?

The parades are a must. Is the earlier show better or the later? Or do we just plan that by how our day is going? I think I also read to watch the fireworks on your first night, correct?

For DLR:

Parade
Fantasmic
Fireworks

Any other shows worth checking out? How's about the Tiki Room? I saw it on last visit and I think Aladdin was in there, but I'm not sure.

For California Adventure:

Electric Parade
Pixar Parade
Playhouse Disney

What about Brother Bear? Is it worth DD seeing?
Aladdin? Not sure if it's offered, doesn't come up for Mon or Tuesday. Is it avail. on Wednesdays?

Thanks, please bear with me. I've been reading and reading and am now about ready to put the plans into motion and I'll need lots and lots of your expert advise :) Thank you all!

IMO, the "parade" (if one can even call it that) at Disneyland is not a must. It's pretty bad. Check out videos on YouTube for a sneak peak to see if its something you might like. The reviews have been horrible and the entire parade is a joke.

And I don't think a 2 year-old would like it at all. It's geared towards tweens, 9-13.

Though she will definitley love the Pixar parade, which is a decent parade.

If you follow Hydroguy's Fireworks rule you should plan on seeing the fireworks the first night. You want to make sure you see them so incase they are canceled.

Also for DL maybe you could try Billy Hill and The Hillbillies. They are supposed to be really funny and maybe your husband will like them. I haven't seen them but have heard grea things about them. I haven't seen the the Tiki Room. (Shhh don't tell)

The parade at DL is not a traditonal parade so you may need to look into it.

Your MM will be on Tuesday. Do you have the order in which to ride the rides? There is a list that is generally accepted as the way to go.

I think all the stuff that you have listed for DCA are musts.

I am not so sure about Brother Bear. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. She is 2 she won't miss it.

Make sure you do Playhouse Disney! She will love it.

Aladdin is great and should be seen if it's offered. I really liked it.

Thanks for the tips and suggestions!

I'll go see if I can find the DL parade on youtube. I just assumed it was a must do as it was at Disneyland, hummmmm. The last time we were there 7 years ago the parade was good and my nephew who was 3 loved it.

The parade before this year was great. This year it is more of a dance party than a parade. I still want to go as it has lots of characters and my kids will love to dance with the cast members! :cool1:

I hope they go back to a regular parade in the future though (I think the other reason it changed was to save money, less cast needed)

We saw the new "parade" and I have to say, we really loved it. Sit in front of Carnation Cafe before it starts, you'll be in a great location... dd was pulled out to dance with the characters, and then she and I were both pulled out to do the conga line... we had a really great time!
