Hi,

We are going on our first DCL 4 nite cruise in Oct. I have opted for the second dinner sitting,is this a mistake ? Will we miss the start of the shows ? What is the best dinner sitting.
PS We have our 12 year old son travelling with us,the reason I didn't choose the earlier dinner is that I thought it may be mostly families with younger children.

Second Dining:

Show at 6:30 PM; Dinner at 8:30 PM

First Dining:

Show at 8:30 PM; Dinner at 6:30 PM

You won't miss the shows!!!

Typically, the earlier seating has more younger children. It's really your preference which seating you pick - none is really 'better'.

The last two cruises with the kids we picked the earlier seating because we didn't feel my younger son (then 10 & 12) would be able to wait to eat. This time we picked the later seating because we realize that he fills up on ice cream every day around 4:30-5:00 out on deck & at 14yo he will definitely be able to wait to eat.

I, myself, prefer to eat earlier & sit & relax watching a show afterwards, but, again, it's personal preference.
