Showing up late for Fastpass

I've learned the helpful tip on this board that fastpass tickets are good for the rest of the day. Searches I've done on the Internet say that technically the fastpass would expire after the time shown, but CM's usually let you through anyways. Has anyone here ever been turned away from a ride if the fastpass time had expired?

From what I have read on the boards, Soarin seems to be the attraction that may get turned away if your fastpass time has expired. That's the only one I've heard of, but there could be more.

Word here from cast members is that you can use your FP any time after your window opens and before the park closes that day. This is Disney policy! Many people collect FP's throughout the day to use all at once in the evening.
There are extremely rare reports of people being turned away from very busy attractions with late FP's. In this case the CM's are enforcing the FP return time just to keep the line moving. You can always try again later and you'll probably get in.
You should not be afraid to use your FP's late - it's Disney's policy to accept them. You are not cheating the system or causing any inconvenience to anyone else. Have fun!

We have never been turned away using a late fastpass and we almost always use our fastpasses late.

We usually use our fastpasses late and we have never been turned away. The cast memebers would only turn you away if the fastpass line was getting ridiculously long for very popular attractions.

We used our FP for Soarin' exactly 12 hours later during the extra evening hours. No problem with any CM's with using the FP late; however, none will ever let you in even if you're only 1-2 minutes early.
