Showing up early for ADR?

We have a 6:30 ADR for Ohana and booked the Pirates and Pal Cruise for that night as it was the only one with 9:00 fireworks for while we are there (other nights are 10 and my kids won't make it). We have to be at the Contemporary at 7:45 and it will be cutting it close with my ADR. I've been trying to move it up, but no luck.

Will they seat me early if I show up let's say at 5:45 or will they make me wait? Anyone have any experience?

Thanks!!

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how busy they are.

I don't see that there's any way to have a 6:30 ADR at 'Ohana and make it to the Contemporary by 7:45. A 6:30 reservation at 'Ohana may not even get you to your table until 7 PM -- there are often long waits there, in my experience.

Showing up 15 minutes early might work...but 45 minutes? That's kind of pushing the envelope.

They might accommodate you, but don't be surprised if they cannot seat you. After all, there may be a family who made plans as well with a specific time frame and you taking their 'slot' will mess them up.

I would give it a shot. You can't lose. They can say no and you will just have to wait. But I still try.

That's my concern also. We always have the longest waits at Ohana. I figure if I show up early maybe it will get me in at my real reservation time or even 15-20 mins early.

I figure I'll give it a try. I don't have much of a choice since their ADR's are hard to come by.

We had a 6:30 ADR at Boma during Spring Break (very busy) and we decided to show up when they opened (I believe 430 or 5) and try to get seated. Because we got there right when they opened it only took about 10min and we had a table. So I would definitly give it a try, if they are way too busy and won't allow it then you can always go over to MK until your ADR time.

In my experience they do try to please you. If they had space at 5:45 they would give you that ADR. Right now, there is not room. As someone else mentioned if you showed up early 1) You may have to wait until near your ADR time to be seated and 2) If they do seat you, you may be taking the table from a family that has an ADR at that time.
Good Luck

Not planning on taking anyone else's table away- I'm sure there are people every night whose plans change and don't show up and as we all know, don't cancel their reservations and so hopefully, they'll be some empty tables we may be able to use. If there aren't, we'll wait....but hopefully, it will all work out!

They will not check you in until 3 hours prior to your ADR. As to seating, that depends.... I've been sat an hour early several times.
