Hello Folks!
We had rain, and some fun. Some pain in Marcie's back, and from housekeeping. But I did get a few photos.
Typical for our week, big dark clouds. I am amazed how well the clouds here follow the landscape.

Stitched with one click (somewhat, accepted defaults on 3 or 4 steps) with panorama factory.

We had our honeymoon at carribean beach five years ago. This trip we were upgraded to Coronnado Springs for two nights and it is awesome (need more adjectives).

You did great. I know it's nice to have the crystal clear blue FL sky in pics, but I think the omninous clouds like we had last week (and this week too) add something dramatic to the photos!

My personal "fav" is the yellow flower with the castle in the background!!:thumbsup2

Were was the alligator? Are the resort photos Coronado Springs? We have never gone in there to check it out. My Dsis ALWAYS stays at CBR - I keep trying to get her to try something different!

Yes, Palm tree shots and the alli are from coronnado springs.
Thanks for the comments. Do you think the castle (in the yellow flower background) should have been more in focus. It was only about a 400-600 foot difference. Have to check my DOF chart. Maybe an 80 Aperture?... hehehehee, instead of 4.5?

DW just submitted a trip request to the school, her and about 90 JR high kids for spring break. Of course they are looking at an economy resort. I will be at CS if I go. Sorry darlin'

Personally I LOVE it with the castle so out of focus. Don't go talking numbers to me.... I still haven't figured all that out!

I don't blame you for wanting to stay at CS... I'd stay as FAR away from 90 jr high kids as I could.

Hmmm - makes me wonder where kids in Orlando go for trips - so many other states seem to come to WDW....

like the gator swimming in the clouds :thumbsup2

i need to stop looking at disney pics as i am really wanting to go. if i hadn't already paid for my south carolina trip i might give hubby knock out drops "by mistake" and make a "wrong turn" on the way down and he'd wake up at wdw :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ie "but honey i thought we were supposed to turned right onto 95..isn't Jacksonville on the way to Charleston????" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: wonder if he'd fall for it?????

Out of curiosity what type of camera and lens do you use. Also, do you usually use a tripod? Thanks.

Mike, nice job on that flower picture. I like the lack of DOF on this one. f/8 instead of f/4.5 really wouldn't have made to much of a difference. f/8 is part of the group of f-stops that are the "Who Cares?" apertures (f/8 & f/11 maybe f/5.6). They don't really give DOF or really isolate the subject. If you wanted the castle more in focus, maybe f/16 or smaller would definately given more focus. Maybe f/11 would have given a bit more focus, but I like what you did. Great job.

I use the canon rebel XT (with a 28-135 IS lens this whole trip)
no tripod for anything I posted. Though this trip was the first time I brought one, I tried some shots only one night and I forgot to turn off the IS so they are all blurry.
Not sure if you have seen it but, this is handheld:
62904619-L-1.jpg

Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT
Aperture: f/4.0
ISO: 1600
Focal Length: 47mm (guess: 79mm in 35mm)
Exposure Time: 0.0769s (1/13)
Flash: Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
Exposure Program: Aperture priority
Exposure Bias: -0.67

of course it is not straight from the camera...

The panoramas are fantastic. I love the Epcot one, especially when viewed original size in your gallery.

As for the yellow flower/castle photo - I like the framing and color of the second one better. I think it's great the castle is out of focus, but it's almost a blur at this aperture. I wonder if decreasing to f/8 or f/11 would have given you background blur with a bit more castle clarity? You'll just have to go back and experiment!

great shot! i wrote "turn off IS" on my tripod since chances are so slim i'd think of it otherwise

a few have said they usually shoot at -2/3 exposure with the rebel and saw that is about what your's is..do you always shoot there? thinking maybe that would help my exposure problems

Of course in my forgetfulness (i think) that is left over from the daylight shooting. It is easier to bring back details from slight shadows than it is to save any detail from blown out highlights.

when I was racing I would remember on the way home, what I should have changed right before the race....

Wow... that is awesome for handheld! I 'ruined' a few of mine because I just couldn't hold the darn camera still enough. Great job! :thumbsup2

Thanks michelle and carolc! I was on top of my game that day, and in post processing, heheheee

I was even on my toes to get above more heads in the crowd...
All of mickeys legs and from the knees down on walt are cloned back into the photo after removing heads etc.

but just last weekend I could not get clear shots of a shorter shutter length... grrrr

THanks again for the comments,
I have an 8x10 in the entry of our home. DWs sister assumed we bought it while there. heeheheee
