Show up late to live shows?

I’m planning for November for ten people. Knowing plans often go awry, I am wondering what happens if you show up after a live show’s start time. Are there certain shows that “close the doors” and others that you can walk in at any time?

Specifically, I’m thinking about Indiana Jones and Frozen at Hollywood Studios (yes I’m assuming Indy will return by then). But we are visiting all four parks so please give me any tips you have about any shows!

Indy shouldn't be a problem. Not sure about Frozen but I believe they close the doors.

You can show up late for an outdoor show, but at that point seating is limited and desirable seats are already occupied. I've done this before for Beauty & the Beast and ended up sitting far, far, far away from the stage.

Beauty and the Beast is the only one I have ever seen accept late arrivals and that’s only for the back bleacher seating. Occasionally I’ve see Indy accept folks right up to show start time if there is still seating, but it’s often full before start time. Frozen does close its doors once the show starts, but again, if it’s not full, you can sometimes get a seat in the back right before the show starts. I would never try to push it with a group of ten.

I'll echo what others have already said; outdoor shows usually (but not always) allow late seating. Indoor shows (Frozen, Finding Nemo, Lion King) typically do not.

That will make late seating quite difficult. And certainly your group will not be seated together.

I don't think I've ever seen them add people after the doors are closed and the show started inside.
At Frozen, I've seen them close the doors and then let more in when they see they have room, but the show hadn't started yet.

What is most likely to happen is a few of the ten would get there late.
