Any way to know which nights are going to be the Disney Broadway type shows? I want to book my son in the nursery ahead of time for those if I can.

Depending on the ship and itinerary, you can probably use the Disney Cruise Line blog. If it is something unique, though you might not be able to find a similar itinerary. And then, of course, it’s always subject to some thing happening, but you should probably have a fairly good luck if it’s some thing like a seven day eastern fantasy.

Hi Calantha, where on Disney Cruise Line blog can I see this? I'm looking through the website where it talks about the live shows, but don't see any tentative schedule of when the live shows will be.

So you need to go to the Personal Navigators and look at what matches your sailing. So Fantasy seven night or Wish 3 night. If you let me know, I'm happy to help look.

I see. So it looks like people post videos/pdfs of their own Personal Navigators for their trips. How well do these extrapolate to future trips?

Very well. Evening schedules do not change significantly over the years. Daytime activities only charge in which activity at which time. The menus are very similar now as they were when I started cruising in 2007, also.

The nights that don’t have the big productions show will have different acts, depending on who is brought on as guest performers.

Pirate Night, with its fireworks, seem to be dependent on location in relation to land. However, this does not affect the evening show.

Which itinerary are you doing? (7 nt Western/Eastern Caribbean, 3/4 nt Bahamas, Alaska, etc). People on previous cruises might be able to tell you what their schedule was. Disney generally keeps the same show schedule for frequent itineraries.

Thanks for the tip about Personal Navigator for Disney Cruise.
Someplace I read that the cruise lines always preview the newest Disney Theatrical release… I would love to hear more about those events also.
And how do you plan a cruise during the hurricane season ? …
Thanks

Either "Believe" or "Dreams", depending on which ship you are on, will always be the last night of the cruise.
I’ve been on a few where those were mid-cruise…. My 2017 wonder had frozen last night and I want to say my 2018 dream had beauty and the beast last night

I guess it depends on the itinerary or special circumstances, but for all of my 11 cruises (from 2008 - 2023), those have been on the last night. They will be more likely than not shown on the last night.

Changes can happen. Traditionally, Golden Mickeys is always shown on formal night (on longer cruises), yet on my TA cruise in May, it was not.

A PremEAR at Sea is fairly common - it is like Opening Night at the theaters on land - for most movies, that used to be on Fridays. (In recent years, that seems to have been pushed back to Thursdays - sometimes a 7 pm showing. But that’s land).

We have seen opening night new releases at 12:01 am Friday morning. Shown in the Walt Disney Theater to handle the larger crowd (not the smaller Buena Vista Theater).

Hurricanes?
Make sure you have travel insurance.

Be aware your itinerary can get changed. It is possible you end up at no ports or change the length of your cruise.

I have looked at alternative activities if our Eastern turns into a Western Caribbean itinerary - so I am not scrambling for alternatives on an expensive onboard internet package.

Know that cruise captains work hard at keeping you and the ship safe.

Avoid mid-August to mid-September, the month with the most storms. September 10 is the day that most often has a hurricane.

Or just roll the dice and hope for the best. And enjoy the lower prices. Come home with an adventure story.

You’re right. Dreams is always the last show on the Magic and Wonder. My daughter is starting her fifth contract and the only time it was not the last show was on a TCM cruise and they have no MainStage shows for those cruises. On the Magic, Twice Charmed is traditionally shown on formal night.

If you don’t feel like looking through navigators, let me know what ship and itinerary you’re on and I’ll find out for you
