I read on one of those travel blogs that you can watch the show on your room tv if you're too tired to go. I've never heard about this on these boards, so I was wondering if it is correct.
 
Yes you can but it's just not the same. The picture quality isn't high-def, and you'll need to check the Navigator (daily newsletter) to see when the shows are playing/replayed. It's a lot more fun to see it live.
 
They are in high definition, at least on the newer ships. But it is not a live feed - it is a pre-recorded performance of the show. In fact, if you look closely, you can tell that in some cases they've edited portions of several different performances into a single video. If you're sick in bed, it's better than nothing, but it's nothing like seeing it in the theater.
